The college is a pioneer in
imparting commerce education since decades. Since its incorporation in
1947, it has dedicated faculty to provide value education to the
students. The college has been ever expanding with new ideas and
thoughts. One such master thought was the beginning of the Vocational
Courses which aimed to provide specialized knowledge in Tax Procedures
and Practices as well as Entrepreneurship Development Program. And
now, in 2007, the college has started the MCom course too and thus,
has added, another discipline to its teaching arena |

The
prestigious BCom course is taught in the college since its inception.
The course curriculum is designed by the Karnataka University taking
in to account the changing needs of the Trade and Industry. The BCom
Degree provides ample opportunities for shaping the career of the
students as professionals, self employed persons, and entrepreneurs.
During the 3 years duration the students can pursue professional
courses such as Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretary, ICWA, C.F.A.
etc. along with the course |

Pre University Course |

The PUC
course is a 2 year regular course taught under the guidelines of the
PU Board. A teaching plan in all the subjects is prepared at the
beginning of the academic year. Periodical tests, home assignments,
class assignments and add-on syllabus are fitted into the teaching
plan in a planned manner. A track of performance evaluation of the
students in academics is maintained by conducting periodical tests,
examinations and the same is analyzed in the class room |
