Admissions

The dynamicity of an institute is known by their actions. The college is full of action all through the year. A large number of events, competitions, activities, functions, programs, projects are held all through the year. One of the most highlighted and appreciated activity is the PROJECT GENESIS. Here are just some of the activities conducted in the college

Activities

A workshop was jointly organized by our college and KU&CCTA on “Information technology cannot replace Inspiring Teacher” on 18th December 2006. Dr. Jayashankaran, Director General of BIM, was the key-note speaker

Placement Activities

The Students of B.Com-III who were trained in Communication & Analytical Skills under Global Skill Enhancement program have done fairly well in the campus placement. Several reputed IT AND ITeS organizations like Infosys, Inter Title India Ltd., ICICI, Tally, Sahara India Pariwar, Fidelity, Bajaj-Allianz, Cambridge, IBM, Accenture etc. have conducted campus recruitments

K.L.E.Society has established a separate Placement Cell exclusively for the colleges of Hubli at P.C. Jabin Science College with necessary infrastructure. Sri Rajendra Mummigatti has been appointed as Placement Officer, who is co-ordinating, the placement activities with Placement Co-ordinator’s of each college

Job Fair in association with Timesjobs.com

A job fair was conducted by the college in collaboration with Timesjob.com during the month of March 2007. As many as 670 students from various colleges participated. In this fair, companies like Cambridge, Accenture and IBM took an active part and selected 41, 4 and 5 students respectively. Among these, 3 students are from our college

Campus interviews by Multinational giants

Campus interview by Inter-title India Limited was conducted on 10th March 2007. 400 students studying in Final Year from various colleges participated and 24 students were selected out of which 4 are from our college

Campus interview by Fidelity Limited was conducted in the college auditorium on 12th and 13th March 2007. 317 students studying in various colleges of Hubli participated and 43 candidates were short-listed amongst them 3 are from our college. Several reputed organizations like ICICI, Tally, Sahara India Pariwar, Fidelity, Bajaj-Allianz have conducted campus recruitments

Two-day workshop for the teachers was organized on 24th and 25th February 2007 on ‘Art of Counseling and Dynamic Living’. The workshop was the outcome of joint efforts of the college and KU&CCTA

Our college and KUCTA jointly organized One-day Seminar on ‘Save Higher Education’ on 3rd September 2006. Sri. Basavaraj Horatti, Hon’ble Minister for Primary Education, Govt. of Karnataka, inaugurated the Seminar. Many eminent educationists participated in the deliberations. More than 500 teacher delegates participated

Orientation Courses

An orientation course was conducted on 3rd October 2006 for the aspirants of C.A. Shri. Srinivas from SIRC branch of ICAI was the resource person. Another Orientation course was held for the aspirants of MBA on 22nd February 2007. Sri. Patil from IMS and his team gave presentation. College also conducted one more orientation course to the B.Com students in Tally on 23rd February 2007. Shri. Shinde, an alumni of our college working with Tally academy, conducted the course

The Students of B.Com-III who were trained in Communication & Analytical Skills under Global Skill Enhancement program have done fairly well in the examinations conducted by Progeon for placement. 8 students of our college have been selected by Infosys

Training on Communication & Analytical Skills

Training on Communication and Analytical skills was organized in the college by Infosys-trained teachers Prof. B.B.Shivanagutti and Prof. (Smt.) S.A. Javali. 54 students have been trained for 60 days

Seminars & other activities

With the objective of increasing communication skills amongst the students seminars were conducted in every subject on a regular basis. Mock Interviews and Group Discussions were held on 10th February 2007. Our students also participated in Youth Festival, Debate and Essay competitions and cultural programs conducted by different institutions. Several students brought laurels to the college by bagging prizes and awards in these competition

Faculty Development

Almost every staff member of the college has attended Seminars, Workshops, Conferences and Symposia organized by various other Institutions at different places. Our faculty members have presented papers in several Conferences and Seminars

Institutional and Industrial Visits

Visits to Banks, Stock Exchange, APMC, Small industries and Industrial fairs were arranged for the students of B.Com to get themselves acquainted with practical aspects
